We have both had a long time dream to run a pub and realised this dream when the Cock Inn became available for lease in 2010. We had some money available to invest and had been upset to see the pub go through a succession of temporary managers, losing much of its appeal and previously good reputation.

Our vision for a pub is what we would like to experience on visiting one. A friendly welcome, a clean and pleasant décor, a cosy log fire in winter and a spacious beer garden in summer. We want to serve proper home cooked food. All our food is freshly prepared on the premises to our own recipes. Our meat and vegetables are locally sourced and all food is cooked to order. We work hard in our kitchen to ensure only the best quality food is produced and we very much hope you enjoy your meal.

Please note that we prepare all our meals and vegetables fresh to order.

We do not do Fast Food. We do good food as fast as we can.

Please feel free to ask for anything not on the menu and we will do our best to accommodate any requests.
